Governor training and development programme

Additional events and training

Our core training programme will be supplemented by additional events/training organised in response to feedback and requests from our governor community. Some of these events will not fall within this training package and will be chargeable. This will be communicated through our fortnightly Friday update newsletter.

In addition, the following events (also from 5.30pm) are free to schools that subscribe to EITHER our training or service offers:

  • Termly Briefings for Chairs of GB.
  • Termly Briefings for Governance Professionals of GB.

S&GS will also continue to provide bespoke training to whole GBs and groups of schools/academies on request. If you are interested, email governortraining@birmingham.gov.uk
