Placing a skip on the highway without a permit

Placing a skip on the highway without a valid skip permit and/or failing to provide a valid skip permit for any skip on a public road is illegal, and will result in a retrospective permit being issued.

The charge for a retrospective permit is £238 per week.

If Birmingham City Council has to remove a skip from the highway, any associated costs will be charged to the skip operator.

Be aware that you also risk Birmingham City Council taking charges against you, whether you are registered or not.
