Clean Air Zone timing and charges

On 1 June 2021 Birmingham launched its Clean Air Zone.

It operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The charges are applied daily, effective from 14 June 2021. A non-compliant vehicle driving in the Zone will pay once for the day, then may drive in the area without limit on that day.

Birmingham is operating a Class D Zone. This may differ from other areas. You should not assume that your vehicle is compliant because it meets the requirements for another Zone. You can check vehicle registration details on the Government vehicle checker website against Birmingham's requirements.
