Waste facilities or scrap yards

One type of industry that has the potential to cause air pollution emissions is the scrap metal or waste industry. There are many scrap yards around the West Midlands area and they vary in size from small, local businesses through to large scale operations. Almost all of them will operate under an environmental permit issued by the Environment Agency.

Any concerns about air pollution arising from one of these sites should be referred to the Environment Agency.
