Information sharing

The data you provide may be disclosed to other enforcement agencies for enforcing environmental health contraventions or to agents of the council during the course of our duties. Such agents may include but are not limited to:

  • The council’s appointed fixed penalty notice enforcement contractor
  • The council’s agency food inspectors appointed by us
  • The council’s appointed animal boarding establishment
  • Public Health England
  • Health and Safety Executive
  • Food Standards Agency
  • West Midlands Police
  • West Midlands Fire Service
  • West Midlands Ambulance Service
  • Statutory Water undertakers (mainly blocked drains and sewers)
  • The council’s ICT provider for the purpose of administering and maintaining the Environmental Health databases.

Your data may also be disclosed to other departments within the council or external parties for related enforcement purposes or as required by law and for the purposes of detection or prevention of crime or as part of any statutory duties requiring such disclosure and to protect the public funds collected or administered. This may include the police, other councils, HMRC etc.
