Exclusions support and advice for parents
As a local authority, we are committed to supporting young people, parents and carers involved in the permanent exclusion process through an innovative partnership with the University of Birmingham.
University of Birmingham pro bono project
Wasim Arif, Senior Education Leader and Steve Parton, Exclusions Co-ordinator from Birmingham City Council, worked in partnership with Emily Rose, Associate Professor and Amy Tabari Assistant Professor, from the University of Birmingham’s Pro Bono group to create guidance for parents and carers on the permanent exclusion process.
