The Department for Education (DfE) produces the guidance for exclusions.
Governing Bodies, Local Authorities, Principals, Academy Trusts, Special Educational Needs Experts and Independent Review Panels must all follow the guidance.
The DfE published its current version of the exclusions guidance in September 2017.
