Statement on access to city schools
Birmingham’s schools are places of learning to which there is no automatic entitlement of public access.
Any person who enters onto any school premises without permission, or a right to be there, is trespassing.
School premises are private property, and as such, the public has no automatic right of entry.
This does not affect the parents or designated carers of enrolled pupils, who have an ‘implied licence’ to go on to the relevant school premises at certain stated times, and such access is defined and set out by each school.
If you are in any way unsure about the right of access, contact the school in question in the first instance for advice to avoid any issues.
