What is meant by digital inclusion?

The definition of Digital Inclusion, according to a National Digital Inclusion Alliance refers to the activities necessary to ensure that all individuals and communities, have access to and use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).

This includes 5 elements:

  1. strong and affordable, broadband and internet service
  2. internet accessible devices that meet the needs of users
  3. access to IT training
  4. quality technical support
  5. online content that encourages independent use of online platforms
