Apply for a highways licence
To apply for a highways licence online, you must provide:
- a risk assessment and method statement (for overall works)
- a traffic management plan (including pedestrians)
- a public liability insurance certificate (minimum £5 million)
- accreditation (one to be supervisor or advanced, and CISRS cards for scaffolders)
All licence applications include a non-refundable application fee of £100. We will invoice you for this fee. It is separate from the licence fee, which will be requested once your application is complete.
Make sure your proposed start date allows enough time for us to process your application. We will not begin processing until we have received and confirmed all required, correct and up-to-date documents.
