Apply for a Section 50 Streetworks Licence
You need a street works or Section 50 licence if you or your client is installing utility equipment, such as gas or sewer connections, in the highway. This applies if you're not already licensed to carry out this type of work.
Complete the Section 50 application form and send it, along with the required supporting documents in PDF format, to: highwayspermitmanagement@birmingham.gov.uk.
Fees
You can pay by debit or credit card by phone: 0121 303 5535. You will need to state the location of works and your company name.
- The fee is £906 for the first 200 metres
- An additional £216 is payable for every extra 200 metres
You must include your payment reference in all correspondence with us.
