Physical activity citizens panel
The Physical Activity Citizens Panel, aligned closely with the BCC Public participation engagement strategy, is a place where people who live in Birmingham can help the council to develop their plans to make Birmingham a more active city.
During the public consultation process, respondents were asked to indicate interest if they would like to be part of a citizens panel that will provide advice and contribution on best approaches to implement the CABS.
126 respondents volunteered to be part of the citizen’s panel. Currently, a recruitment form and an engagement survey have been shared with members for the panel and partners to recruit more members and to understand their expectations and how they would like to be engaged.
In collaboration with the Public Participation team, a comprehensive engagement plan is being worked which includes surveys, focus group discussions and newsletters.
