If you do not want your records shared
You can disagree to share your information through the Shared Care Record (ShCR), also known as Collaborative Care Record (CCR), anytime.
However, we do not recommend this as information that could be vital when you need health or social care support might not be immediately available.
You have the right to:
- object to your information being made available through the CCR
- ask to see the personal information an organisation holds about you
- ask for incorrect information to be corrected
- complain if you are unhappy with how your information is being used
If you want to see your records or ask for information to be corrected, you should contact the health or care organisation that holds that record.
Your right to object
You can object to your information being made available through the CCR.
If you do not want your information to be shared, read our privacy notice to find out how to ask for this.
Be reassured that we take the security of your information very seriously.
Only professionals directly involved in your care at the time can look at your records to make the right decisions to ensure you receive the best care possible.
