Animal disease
The impact of widespread animal disease could result in a mass cull/disposal of animal carcasses. It could also pose a health risk to farm workers and suppliers.
What you can do
- Register any livestock that you own with DEFRA
- Follow any guidance from the government to protect your livestock and limit the spread
- Vaccinate livestock where possible
‘Notifiable’ diseases are animal diseases that you’re legally obliged to report to the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA), even if you only suspect that an animal may be affected.
