Administration of the collection

The three main titles inspected for scanning are the Birmingham Evening Mail, the Birmingham Post and Sunday Mercury.

The cuttings occasionally include articles from national newspapers when the news items may not have received adequate coverage in the Birmingham newspapers or the national article provides extra and relevant information which cannot be found elsewhere.

Relevant articles are cut out and annotated to indicate their source and date.
