Using library computers

WiFi in the Library of Birmingham

Free WiFi connectivity is available throughout the Library of Birmingham for use with laptops and portable devices. Access extends onto the terraces and outside spaces.

If you use Library of Birmingham WiFi you are agreeing to the terms and conditions. These are displayed in full at log in.

To access WiFi use Visitors_Library_of_Birmingham

When you first select this option you will be taken to a login screen with a button asking if you want to get online.

The next screen asks for a first and last name and email address. Once all these details have been submitted the Library of Birmingham Visitors' WiFi page will display.

This is the only time you will need to do this. When you have logged into the WiFi once then on subsequent visits the device used should remember the settings and log you in automatically.

You may be asked to sign onto the network again. You will then be redirected to the Library of Birmingham WiFi page.

The visitor WiFi network will not allow you to access the Library of Birmingham subscription sites.

If your access times out, then just log back in.
