Donations and deposits of records
If you have any documents or digital records of historical significance relating to Birmingham, its people, businesses, institutions or communities, contact us.
We collect material so that our collections reflect a wide range of Birmingham people, groups and voices. The collections development policy explains the types of material we can and cannot accept.
We are particularly interested in material relating to:
- Black, Asian and minority ethnic individuals, groups and businesses
- Commonwealth heritage individuals and communities
- disabled people
- faith groups
- LGBTQ+ groups and individuals
- small businesses
- voluntary groups
- arts organisations
- charities
We also want to hear about Birmingham-related archive material that is at risk of damage, loss or destruction.
