West Midlands cycle and e-scooter hire

Lime is the new provider of cycle and e-scooter hire across the West Midlands.

The previous West Midlands cycle hire bikes and scooters have been removed, and have been replaced with green Lime fleet

The bikes and e-scooters are available at the existing docking stations, as well as at some new, “virtual-only” locations visible on the Lime app, that you can download for free from the App Store or Google Play.

How to use bikes and e-scooters

You can unlock a Lime bike or e-scooter with the Lime app or the Uber app.

Use your phone to scan the QR code between the handlebars.

  • Every rider will get their first 2 rides in Birmingham for free
  • The pay-as-you-go ride costs £1 to unlock the vehicle, then 20p per minute

Buying bundles

You can save money by buying bundles available in the Lime app:

  • £2.99 for 30 minutes
  • £5.99 for 60 minutes
  • £9.99 for 120 minutes
  • £19.99 for 300 minutes
  • LimePrime: a subscription service where you pay £3.99 a month for unlimited £1 rides

How to park your bike or e-scooter

When you have finished your journey, you must park the bike or e-scooter at one of the designated parking spots set out in the app. This helps to keep pavements clear and streets safe for everyone.

If you fail to park at an official parking spot, you will be fined.

If you need more information, help, or support, visit the Lime website.
