Temporary accommodation charges
You are responsible for the charges for your temporary housing. If you are on a low income, you may be entitled to housing benefit payments towards this cost. It is your responsibility to claim this.

- make a benefit claim
- money advice – if you are struggling to meet the costs of your housing charges
- phone the temporary accommodation income recovery team on 0121 675 5535 if you are struggling to, or are unable to, make your payments
- email the Temporary Income Recovery team on TAIncomeRecovery@birmingham.gov.uk
- financial advice – organisations that can offer advice and support on money issues
