How to use the care services directory
You can search the directory by service type, specialism and whether or not the service has a contract with Birmingham City Council.
Clicking the ‘Search for care providers with Council contracts’ tile takes you to a further set of tiles for the different contract types.
You can also search for services within a specified distance from a particular postcode, or by key words (such as the name of the service or the area) to help you find what you are looking for.
Your search may show one or more results. If you click on one of the results, you will see more information about it, including:
- name, address and phone number
- if Birmingham City Council contracts with the service or not
- Yes (2019) or Yes (2023) indicates a current contract
- No indicates no current contract
- for contracted services, whether the contract is active or suspended
- for care homes, the specialism(s) they offer
- Birmingham City Council quality rating (with date of latest inspection)
- CQC quality rating (with date of latest inspection and link to report)
- feedback from the public about the service
