Liaison officer responsibilities

The council contract and performance officer (Liaison Officer) is the statutory lead officer to monitor and support all TMO activities.

The liaison officer:

  • monitors performance of the TMO against the agreed performance indicators
  • is responsible for collating all key information promptly in line with the council and TMO relationship cycle
  • ensures any management agreement requirements are met
  • monitors TMOs to ensure they follow governance practices
  • supports TMOs to enable them to engage with council departments and partners

The TMO support team is also responsible for:

  • arranging quarterly liaison meetings between the council and the TMOs
  • organising a minimum of two all TMO committee meetings a year
