Ending a joint tenancy

How to give notice

To end a joint tenancy, you must give at least 28 days' notice (ending on a Sunday) in writing.

Your notice must contain the address of the property you are giving notice for, and be signed and dated.

If you do not provide these details, there is a risk that you will have to pay rent on the property after you hoped to have left it.

We will charge rent until we receive the keys.

After we have received your notice to end a joint tenancy

We will write to you to confirm your tenancy is ending.

If one of you hopes to remain in the property, we will contact you.
