Overview

The Economic Research and Policy Team carries out research and analysis to support Birmingham City Council, the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) and the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) to achieve their economic priorities.

We publish a wide range of information about the Birmingham and wider economy. This includes:

  • detailed reports that combine economic data with clear commentary
  • objective analysis of local economic trends
  • fact sheets with statistics at city and ward level
