Third-party contractors

Organisations that supply services to vulnerable service users are expected to comply with safeguarding and employment law, including Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks where required.

Where staff or volunteers working under a council contract need DBS checks, the organisation is responsible for carrying them out.
