Overview
On 11 March 2020, the Government announced a new Small Business Grant Fund and a Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant Fund were to be administered by Local Authorities.
In addition, on 31 October 2020 the Government announced a new set of grants called Local Restrictions Support Grants. This included the Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed) Addendum, the Local Restrictions Support Grant (Open) and the Local Restrictions Support Grant (Sector).
Due to the continuation of the Covid-19 pandemic, the government both extended the Local Restrictions Support Grants and introduced additional grants in order to provide continued financial support.

Incorrect payments and overpayments
The grant schemes above have now closed, Central Government have instructed Local Authorities to conduct Post-payment Assurance checks and recover all overpaid grant awards.
Where it has been identified that a grant has been paid incorrectly, the recipient will be contacted with further information and instructions on how the grant can be repaid.
