Chamberlain Gardens CPZ

The Chamberlain Gardens estate has historically suffered parking problems as a result of local workers and visitors to the Broadway Plaza leisure complex parking on the estate’s streets. To alleviate these difficulties and enable residents to park nearer their homes instead of having to compete with non-residents for space, a Controlled Parking Zone was introduced in December 2009 and all vehicles parking during the hours of operation must now display a valid permit.

For more information about the zone and parking permits for residents and local workers please refer to the Questions and Answers document attached below.

Review

In early 2011 we will conducted a review of the Controlled Parking Zone, following the first year of operation. We counted the number and type of vehicles parked at different times of the day both within the zone and in the surrounding area. In addition residents and businesses in and around Chamberlain Gardens received a leaflet, delivered to their property, asking for their views.

The findings of this review can be found in the report at the bottom of this page.
