Focused on the life course theme of living, working, and learning well, within the core theme of Active at Every Age and Ability.

Why

Focus on the impact, value of cinema via screening events and community walks in particular for the South Asian community in Birmingham.

How

Creating a community walk which will comprise of visiting/re-visiting iconic cinema buildings or where sites once stood as an appealing and inclusive way of getting people out of the house, connecting with their local area, and learning more about its history.

Key deliverables

Creating a safe space for sharing and exploring memories, we will look to establish a pathway for other forms of engagement – from screening to community walk, and where possible leading onto sessions run by other providers with a greater focus on physical activity.
