How grant funding is awarded

Grant funding is limited and offered on a first come, first served basis.

The level of WMGP grant awarded is subject to the creation of new and safeguarded jobs. New jobs must be created by your project to qualify for consideration. Projects that only safeguard jobs are ineligible.

The job created output is not a mandatory requirement for businesses based in the Solihull MBC area.

WMGP uses a guide calculation of £10,000 grant for each new full-time job created. You can read the WMGP criteria, application guidance notes, and processes document for a detailed explanation.

Grants are subject to availability and are restricted to one grant for each business, and are paid retrospectively.

Up to 50% of WMGP project costs can be awarded at the discretion of Birmingham City Council.

We reserve the right to close a funding round early if we receive a large number of grant applications.
