WM SME Grant Programme

The West Midlands SME Grant Programme has launched – effective 3 April 2023

After the UK left the European Union, the UK government committed itself to provide funds to invest in local priorities and target funding where it is most needed. This led to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), which was established to create pride in place and increase life chances.

The UKSPF is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025.

The fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.

The WMGP is a support package designed to help small to medium sized enterprises based in the Birmingham City Council, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, and Shropshire Council local authority areas.
