Birmingham infection control service and infection control champions
Birmingham Community Health Care Trust (BCHC) is currently commissioned to provide a dedicated Infection Prevention Control (IPC) service to Adult Social Care homes. The team provide IPC advice, outbreak support, and IPC training including IPC Champions training to care homes across the city.
Every care home has been asked to nominate an IPC Champion who should complete the IPC Champions Training Day. BCHC IPC care home team continue to support a growing network of over 500 IPC Champions to improve and sustain best IPC practice.
