Structure of a CV

Firstly, try to keep your CV down to two pages. It should not be your complete life story. If you have more than two pages then you have either used the space badly or your CV contains far too much information.

All CVs should have your name, contact details, your personal profile and a list of your relevant skills. If any of these are missing, then your CV does not stand a good chance of being successful.

Do not include a photograph if applying for a job within the UK. However, it is quite normal, even expected, that your CV will include a photo if you applying to a company based in mainland Europe. Also, if you are working in the modelling or acting profession it is acceptable to include a photograph on your CV.
