The Birmingham and Solihull Coroner Service offices are open from Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm, except on Bank Holidays.

Release of deceased

We understand the importance of releasing the deceased as soon as possible. The average time for release of a body in a straight forward case where no post mortem is needed is between 1 and 2 days. The average time for release when a post mortem is needed is between 3 and 4 days.
