Book a private citizenship ceremony

A private ceremony costs £231 and takes place at Birmingham Register Office, subject to room and staff availability.

These ceremonies can only be arranged once we have processed your home office paperwork and sent your group citizenship invitation to you.

If you contact us before receiving our invitation, we will be unable to arrange a private ceremony for you. You will need to contact us again after you have received your ceremony invitation.

Our invitation letter or email from the Register Office will advise you of the next current private ceremony appointment date. Note that we have limited availability. If the advised date is fully booked when you contact us, we will book you into the next available private ceremony, which may be the following week.

On the day of your private ceremony you are welcome to bring up to 6 guests with you to share this special occasion.
