Book a private citizenship ceremony

A private ceremony costs £277.

A private ceremony takes place at the Birmingham Register Office, depending on room and staff availability.

You can only arrange a private ceremony after we have processed your Home Office paperwork and sent your group citizenship invitation to you. If you contact us before your receive the invitation, we will not be able to arrange a private ceremony. You will need to contact us again after you have received your ceremony invitation.

Your invitation letter or email will tell you the next available private ceremon date. Availability is limited. If the advised date is fully booked when you contact us, we will book you into the next available private ceremony, which may be the following week.

On the day of your private ceremony, you can bring up to 6 guests with you.
