All food handlers in your business must be appropriately trained.

It is recommended that:

  • managers and supervisors receive training equivalent to Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Level 3 in Food Hygiene
  • food handlers receive training equivalent to Lever 2 in Food Hygiene.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) also provides free training in other areas, including allergens, labelling, root cause analysis, traceability and vacuum packing.
