Overview

Birmingham City Council is currently recruiting graduates onto Local Government Association’s National Graduate Development Programme (NGDP) starting in September 2022.

The NGDP is a two-year programme for graduates who want to make a difference in communities while launching their management career in the public sector.

Graduates will be employed by the council as a National Management Trainee, rotating through at least three placements, with the opportunity to work on an exciting and varied range of projects and services across the organisation. The programme also includes a fully funded postgraduate qualification in leadership and management and a starting salary over £25,000 per annum.

The NGDP is a national programme which attracts applicants from across the UK however, this year Birmingham City Council want to work with universities and organisations from across the city to attract local graduates to apply for the opportunity in a bid to maximise the skills and talent of the diverse, young people of Birmingham and the surrounding areas.

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and disciplines who have achieved a 2:2 or above by July 2022 and have the right to work in the UK.
