Aims of the board
The Birmingham Autism and ADHD Partnership Board (BAAPB) aims to:
- allow autistic people and people who have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) to reach their full potential and play a full role in society
- allow autistic people and people who have ADHD to have the skills and confidence needed to keep themselves safe and well
- reduce the gap in life expectancy between autistic people and people who have ADHD and the general population
The current priorities of the BAAPB are:
- diagnosis and diagnostic pathways
- early intervention
- preparation for adulthood
- lifelong support and development for adults
- employment and helpful activities
- community support for citizens and families
- workforce development and culture
