Aims of the board

The Birmingham Autism and ADHD Partnership Board (BAAPB) aims to:

  • allow autistic people and people who have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) to reach their full potential and play a full role in society
  • allow autistic people and people who have ADHD to have the skills and confidence needed to keep themselves safe and well
  • reduce the gap in life expectancy between autistic people and people who have ADHD and the general population

The current priorities of the BAAPB are:

  • diagnosis and diagnostic pathways
  • early intervention
  • preparation for adulthood
  • lifelong support and development for adults
  • employment and helpful activities
  • community support for citizens and families
  • workforce development and culture
