The Plough and Harrow

The plough and harrow photograph

The Plough and Harrow Hotel on the Hagley Road is reported to have existed as an inn since 1704, although much of the red brick architecture dates from the Victorian era. W S Horton photographed the Plough and Harrow in approximately 1891 as part of the Warwickshire Photographic Survey.

In 2012 the Plough and Harrow's exterior is largely unaltered, with some modifications to the ground floor windows, and the obvious difference in the foliage that often covers the building. Although the Plough and Harrow caters for many additional services the hotel still houses a dedicated traditional pub known as Beauforts.
