Hibernian programme

Hibernian programme cover

Programme from 1994 from the Hibernian. A wide range of acts are listed in side but the cover shows Indie band World Of Leather, rockers Orange Deluxe, folk-rockers Eden Burning and noted Irish folk artist Noel Hill.

Many local acts played here too. There was a strong Irish music presence with local acts like Paul O'Brien playing regularly.

This pub was at 1065 Pershore Road, Stirchley and was a great venue for numerous covers and originals acts. It also hosted some national names including Mike Peters of The Alarm. During the 1980s and1990s many bands appeared on its small stage in the separate function room situated around the back of the pub. In recent times it has been named The New Dogpool Hotel and now focuses on tribute acts rather than bands playing original music.
