After sunset on Friday 1 May, the exterior façade of the Library of Birmingham will be lit up green to mark Lyme Disease Awareness Month 2026.

Lyme disease is a tick‑borne infectious disease that can affect people of all ages.

Lyme Disease Awareness Month aims to improve understanding of the condition and highlight the experiences of those affected.

The Library of Birmingham is lighting up green to show support for the awareness month and to help draw attention to reliable sources of information and support.
