Lighting up the library for Kidney Cancer Awareness Week 2026

After sunset on Friday 6 February, the exterior façade of the Library of Birmingham will be lit up green to mark Kidney Cancer Awareness Week 2026.
Kidney Cancer Awareness Week is run by Kidney Cancer UK. The campaign raises awareness of kidney cancer and promotes the support available to people affected.
This year’s campaign includes:
- sharing real stories from patients and families
- encouraging people to learn the signs that might prompt medical advice
- promoting the charity’s support line and information services
- highlighting the importance of early detection
Kidney Cancer UK is a national charity. It provides information, guidance and support for anyone affected by kidney cancer. The charity also funds research and works to improve diagnosis and treatment.
