After sunset on Thursday 19 June 2025 the exterior façade of the Library of Birmingham will be lit up light blue in support of Clean Air Day 2025.

Global Action Plan supports the clean air movement. They help people and organisations take action on air pollution and make sure their voices are heard.

To breathe clean air every day, we need to make big changes, including:

• using electric vehicles
• reducing car journeys
• cutting pollution from factories and building sites
• choosing products that don’t pollute our homes

Air pollution causes heart and lung disease. It leads to over 36,000 deaths in the UK each year.

Clean air is vital for our health and also benefits the planet.
