Lighting up the library for Liver Cancer Awareness Month

After sunset on Tuesday 1 October, the exterior façade of the Library of Birmingham will be lit up green in support of Liver Cancer Awareness Month.
October is Liver Cancer Awareness Month, which is a chance to:
- raise awareness and funds to improve early detection of the disease
- show support for people affected by liver cancer
- remember loved ones
About Liver Cancer UK
Liver Cancer UK is part of the British Liver Trust, which is the leading liver health charity in the UK.
They focus on improving liver health for everyone, and supporting those affected by liver cancer and liver disease.
Their core work includes:
- providing information and support to those affected
- increasing awareness of liver cancer and the risk factors
- campaigning for earlier detection and better treatment
- working with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to drive up standards of care and encourage more research
