In April 2025, the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) was the first English region (alongside Greater Manchester) to receive an Integrated Settlement.

The first Integrated Settlement ran from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026 and delivered many services and infrastructure projects. This includes funding skills and training provision, growing the Business Growth West Midlands support system for local businesses and reducing carbon emissions.

Local councils will also be central to delivering many of the projects and interventions funded through the Integrated Settlement.
