Birmingham's Economic Zones
Birmingham’s advantages as a world class city, its central location, connectivity and access to a substantial labour force make it a location of choice for business.
To maximise opportunities for economic growth, Birmingham is targeting those sectors in which it has established that the city has a competitive advantage. We have launched a series of Economic Zones marrying the growth sectors with the city’s spatial opportunities. Located to suit the requirements of the sectors, the six Zones are:
- Advanced Manufacturing Hub, Aston
- City Centre Enterprise Zone
- Tyseley Environmental Enterprise District
- Longbridge ITEC Park
- Life Sciences Campus, Selly Oak / Edgbaston
- The Food Hub, Witton
For these Economic Zones a range of measures to attract investment and promote business growth are available. These include :

- Gap Funding
- Access to Finance
- Business Development
- Training and Recruitment
