Getting back your removed vehicle

To get your vehicle back, contact our vehicle pound contractors. When you visit the vehicle pound you will be invited to inspect the condition of your vehicle before leaving.

Before your vehicle can be released you must provide:

  • proof of ownership of the vehicle the Vehicle Registration Certificate (V5C) - showing your name and address
  • two forms of identification, one of which must be photographic.

If you have just bought the vehicle we will accept your insurance documents and your New Keepers Supplement (V5C/2).

You will be required to pay:

  • the Penalty Charge Notice (PCN)
  • the vehicle removal fee of £105
  • a storage charge of £12 per day, starting from midnight on the day after the date of removal

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm
  • Saturday, 9:00am to midday

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 11:00pm
  • Saturday, 9:00am to 11:00pm
  • Sunday, 9:00am to 6:00pm

Appealing your PCN and vehicle removal costs

When you contact the vehicle pound you will be given details of how to challenge the PCN and the removal of your vehicle.

If your challenge is rejected, you will be able to appeal to the Traffic Penalty Tribunal.
