Long-term reversible contraception (LARC)
Long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) methods are the most effective types of contraception and can last from a few months up to 10 years.
They do not rely on a person remembering to take them, but they do need a trained doctor or nurse to administer or fit them.
These types of contraception are often inserted or injected and can remain effective for a long time.
The term LARC covers contraceptive coils, injections, and the implant.
The outcome aims of the tool is to increase number of women using LARC as a positive contraceptive choice score following intervention.
