Age

Religion is a legally protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010.

Age can have different implications for a person’s health and wellbeing, such as affecting how vulnerable they are to health risks.

For example: children are at higher risk of leukaemia, whereas middle-aged to older adults are at higher risk of colon or prostate cancer.

Age can separate population groups, such as different generations, to highlight trends and identify gaps.

Age is a key contributing factor to health and wellbeing, as well as a factor that influences how people interact with health services and interventions.
