These hybrid roles provide opportunities across the data cycle to ensure that we have effective digital tools that provide data and evidence that is accurate, available and used to produce insights that lead to better outcomes for children and young people.
You will work with a range of partners and users to understand and meet their requirements.
People in the digital, evidence and performance team must:
- be curious and share our passion for insightful evidence that can lead to better services and outcomes
- be user focused to develop products and analysis that meet a range of operational, corporate and strategic requirements
- have strong analytical and technical skills that they are willing to share with others
About the team
The council is going through a period of change and transformation and the digital, evidence and performance team is on a unique improvement journey that will affect families across Birmingham.
We’re putting evidence and a data-driven approach at the heart of this journey to make sure we:
- understand our citizens' backgrounds, needs and views
- can design and deliver services that allow children and young people in Birmingham to thrive
The team is expanding to meet this demand and will:
- be responsible for digital systems and applications so they are used effectively and safely
- lead on data governance, quality, architecture and standards to ensure data is available, assured, accurate and automated
- produce a range of analytical and insight products, including statutory returns
- support and train other analysts and users across the Children and Families Directorate
