  • some people can be more vulnerable to the effects of the cold weather, such as under 5s, over 65s, people who have long-term physical or mental health conditions, and those living with disabilities
  • to access support from Birmingham City Council, the NHS and the government
  • to stay protected against a drop in temperature as cold weather can affect the body’s ability to fight off viruses and infections.
  • the cold makes health conditions harder to manage – it can even affect our heart and its circulation
  • staying active, vaccinations and good nutrition have positive impacts on your wellbeing.
