Wards with the highest case rates

The 28-Day PCR testing rate up to 7 May was 452/100k, a decrease of 79.5% compared to the previous 28 days (2,200/100k).

In the last 28 days, the % of positive PCR tests (Pillar 2) decreased to 6.7% from 28.5% compared to the previous 28 days.

In the last 7 days, the LFD and PCR combined testing rate decreased by 17.4% compared to the previous week.

Cases in Birmingham have decreased by 71.4% compared to the previous 28 days. In the recent 28 days (up to 7 May) 5,190 cases were reported, a case rate of 455.1/100k.

In the 7 days up to 7 May, cases have also fallen by 18.9% from 803 cases (70.4/100k) compared to 990 cases (86.8/100k) in the previous week.

Our case surveillance is dependent upon residents reporting their test results, the absolute number of reported cases may be affected.
