Childcare sufficiency assessment for 2021 to 2022

The childcare sufficiency assessment (CSA) for 2021 to 2022 is a report by us and Coram Family. It discusses the sufficiency of childcare in Birmingham in 2021, which fulfils our statutory reporting duty under the Childcare Act 2006.

The report covers:

  • current and projected needs for childcare
  • demand for childcare
  • supply of childcare of different types and sectors, including free provision

It also considers the latest evidence from many sources on affordability, accessibility, and quality.

You can download the CSA for 2021 to 2022 and its appendices.

If you have any questions about the CSA, you can email earlyeducation@birmingham.gov.uk.
